Ogbe Aihevba began his career in Abuja, Nigeria where, amongst other construction companies, he worked for Julius Berger (Nig) Plc and the Federal Capital Development Authority, where he acquired early experience in water & sewage systems, structural concrete and the design of concrete structures.
In early 1998, he relocated to South Africa to continue to pursue a career in the construction industry. He joined Realeka Investments (PTY) Limited as a Site Manager in May 1998 where he worked on different construction projects varying from construction of clinics and pharmacies, upgrading of hostels, flood protection projects, construction of roads and upgrade of civil engineering infrastructure. While at Realeka Investments, he acquired extensive experience in road construction and construction management. He rose through the ranks from Site Manager through to Contracts Manager and then Acting General Manager until he resigned in 2006 to head his own company.
He registered Hennox 479 CC (now known as Axton Matrix) in conjunction with other partners in late 2005 and became the Managing Member of the company in early 2006 on a full-time basis.
In addition to his duties as the Managing Member of Axton Matrix, he has been involved in various construction projects as Contracts Manager and Project Manager. Since becoming the Managing Member of Axton Matrix, the company has grown from a Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) rating of 3GBPE and 4CEPE to 7GBPE, 7SBPE and 9CE. The company asset base has increased significantly during this time and is continuing to grow. Under his watch, Axton Matrix, amongst other client, have successfully completed construction projects for Gauteng Department of Public Transport, Roads and Works, Johannesburg Development Agency, Rand Water and various municipalities in South Africa.
Ogbe has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Civil Engineering, he is a member of South African Institution of Civil Engineering (SAICE) and a member of the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP).
Group Chief Executive Officer
Ike began his professional career as an intern in the financial services industry in the United Kingdom. He relocated to South Africa in 2004, where he worked in several industries including automotive, FMCG, consumer electronics, information technology and telecommunications. His roles were mainly strategy and sales-focussed in rapidly growing organisations, within businesses with significant interest in expanding into Sub-Saharan Africa – both in the private & public sectors. His professional responsibilities have included the successful establishment and growth of business ventures in over 25 African countries.
He has held several senior positions in global organisations including Managing Director (West Africa) for Brandtone, where was responsible for developing and executing the commercial sales strategy as well as driving and managing key relationships with partners to grow revenue base in a sustainable pattern. He joined Brandtone from InMobi, the world’s largest independent mobile advertising network, where he was Business Development Director (Africa). Prior to InMobi, he was Go-to-Market Director (Sub-Saharan Africa) at LG Electronics. He was responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive and improve performance of sales units and marketing departments with the view to grow business by increased revenue and volume sales with critical focus on driving profitability.
He introduced innovative tools, systems and processes that have had significant positive impact on LG’s business performance.
Ike is on the board of several companies including Axton Matrix, in which capacity, he is responsible for developing and executing the marketing and growth strategy.
He graduated with a BSc in Information Systems from Richmond, the American International University in London (2002) and has also completed an MA in Marketing Management from Middlesex University (2003). He maintains professional memberships in Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
Non-Executive Director
Fairoza Solomons started her career as an Office Assistant in 2003 with Realeka Investments SA (PTY) Limited, where she acquired her first experience on a construction site at Waterkloof Air Force Base. In 2005, she was transferred to the head office in Naturena to take the post of the company Procurement Officer. Later that year she was promoted to the Debtors & Creditors Clerk. In June 2006 she resigned from Realeka Investments to venture into a whole new life changing career - she started a construction company along with other partners. Since then she has been the Corporate Affairs Director for Hennox 479 CC (now Axton Matrix). She also oversees the payroll administration. She has attended various courses, including National Occupational Safety Association (NOSA), Introduction to Organisational Health & Safety (OHS) Act 85 of 1993, Construction Regulations Act 85 of 1993, Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced VIP Payroll System.
Corporate Affairs Director
Solomon PA (SA), started his career in Nigeria with Assurance Bank of Nigeria LTD (now Access Bank PLC). While with Assurance Bank of Nigeria, Solomon was involved in all aspects of retail banking activities - some of which included treasury, lending, foreign exchange and corporate finance. He rose to the position of a Branch Manager of one of the branches of Assurance Bank upon the completion of his professional examination with the Institute of Bankers.
He relocated to South Africa in the nineties. Upon arrival in South Africa, he was shortly involved in academics circle when he took up appointment with a higher educational institution in Mokopane (then Potgietersrus). He was involved in the lecturing of Accounting & Economics. After a short stay in Mokopane, he decided to pursue his career further by moving to Pretoria where he worked briefly with an audit practice before joining Rivonia Accounting and Tax Consultants. At Rivonia Accounting he was involved in the transformation of the practice where he pioneered efficient and effective customer services. Rivonia Accounting and Tax Consultants, as an accounting practice focus on accounting and tax services.
Solomon was involved with Hennox 479 CC (now Axton Matrix) from inception on consulting basis. He joined Axton Matrix Constructions on full-time basis in 2008. Solomon now manages the financial portfolio at Axton Matrix.
Solomon is an accounting graduate, a banking & finance graduate, an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, a member of the South African Institute of Professional Accountants and also hold an H. Dip in Tax.
